Yeah I’ve been worrying about that exact scenario a lot 
Every forum post, comment and message that I go to read is done so with extreme caution now. I slowly scroll down the page to only reveal the top half of the first sentence in a post/ comment, this way if I noticed that what I’m reading is a spoiler I don’t pick up the rest of the sentence in my peripheral vision 
It’s a tough wait…

I’m incredibly wary of unknown links at the moment. Just yesterday a friend send me a link on facebook and refused to tell me what it was. Didn’t open it until he told me what it was all about.
Browsing the internet has become a chore as well. Youtube? Just for music, nothing more.
Xbox GT? Sorry, but won’t open any messages this until november 6th.
Yeah it’s a shame people feel the need to do this for giggles… if you know how set your privacy settings to friends only it’s worth doing. That way only they can message you.
Just to be safe. It’s what I’ve just done.

This just happened to me yesterday. Luckily i delete the message before it spoiled any thing for me

All so it was the exact same person HHHHHHHHHHHH
DUDE that was the same tag that ruined halo 4’s ending for me.
Worst scenario for me:
Someone changes their gamertag… can’t avoid that :S
Seriously has to be some sick kid to find joy out of wasting so much of his own time to try and spoil other people’s game experience. Some people’s children…

Indeed but nothing a quick privacy setting change won’t fix 
it basically blocks any text or voice message received by those who aren’t on your friends list

But the problem remains: if they change the actual Gamertag to a spoiler it’ll show up in matches of Reach…
Thank you!!! I just logged in to xbox.com and the same gamertag sent me a message, didnt read it though. going to have my room mate go on my xbox and delete the message so i dont even get a glimpse of what may or may not happen.
