*spoiler* forerunner biggest fear

In the artifacts on the ring the monitor makes a lot of statements about the endless and the forerunner. She basically says that the flood were not the biggest fear of the forerunners but instead that it was simply losing power. Not only is this a ridiculously over played trope in fiction and real life, it literally counters a central plot line that 343 has had - why in the world would the forerunners give control of everything to humanity after the firing of the array if they didnt want to give up control? This is even more so true considering, apparently, a decent enough number of forerunners survived… Even if they had died in the array, which they didnt, the first species they would catalogue would be themselves.

Now i actually really liked infinite. I was admittedly annoyed by the fact that i got way more questions than any answers, but the game play was pretty darn good IMO. But 343 really needs to like, idk, thoroughly check through story boards before releasing a game. There is so much that is counterintuitive and contradicts there own work in really strange ways. It’s like 343 doesnt make up their minds so they just poof things into existence so they can milk more story lines and plot twists. How the hell are the artifacts ON THE RING older than the ring itself???

And where the F are Cortana’s guardians, literally not guarding her on the ring. Atriox should never have gotten close. Ugh i could go on… but alas. I just wish 343 wouldnt just do things for plot-sake

did you watch the credits? It looked like 343 outsourced 70% of the story development process

343i are the ultimately tease, I think everybody sorta felt that way.

All the existing lore is so convoluted that their is no way for them to misstep somewhere.
