*Spoiler* Cortana being childish

For the most part I enjoyed the campaign and overall story in Halo 5.

I could give multiple negatives and positives but there’s one part of the campaign with Cortana that I’d like to focus on.

Sorry if I’m vague but the part of the campaign where you play as Locke and fire team Osiris. It’s towards the end on a snowy level (I believe it’s snowy… again apologies for vagueness). You’re trying to stop Cortana and all while Cortana tries to get underneath each member of fire team Osiris’s skin by acting immature with hysterical banter.

Did anyone else find it annoying to hear Cortana like that? Did it feel very cheesy and corny to you?

Feel free to explain reasoning behind why that happened too if there is one.

spoilers? no?

I now put ‘spoilers’ in the title… happy now?

Not sure what people expect when going into a forum on Halo 5.

Anyways… I’m interested in what people thought on this specific part of the campaign.

She’s clearly operating outside of her own ‘mind’. It’s out of character for her, and i think we’re meant to pick up on this as a cue for who’s really pulling all the strings here

Cortana was doing what she did best getting under their skin and using her UNSC lock picking skills to gain intel.
She did the same thing to Colonel James Ackerson who hated Chief, Halsey and the Spartan program in general.
Her emotion range from Halo 4 was toned WAY down in Halo 5 though.
She sounded like Loki from the Avengers a bit to me…

Hmm… I don’t really know what to think about Cortana in Halo 5, she’s… different, though I don’t know for the better or for worse…
