Splitting the MP.

In Halo 3, the MP was split into Ranked and Social. This was a favorable method among most of the Halo community. It gave professionals the serious, competitive, nonvehicle-related gaming wanted.
And it served the “noobs” as well, providing easy, diverse, simple play on usually larger maps.
I believe 343 should use this in Halo 4. So everyone’s happy.
What I just posted was something that NEEDS to be used in Halo 4. Now, my suggestions.
While the SMP(split multiplayer) System needs to be implemented, I have ideas to alter with it.

Ranked
Ranked should stay mostly like Halo 3, but with a few changes. ((Please respect my opinion.))
Since Ranked is designed for competitive play, I believe party chat should be disabled.
We’ve all come across a game in which one of your teammates was in party chat while everyone else was in game chat. And maybe you told said player that the Rocket spawned and he needed to grab it cuz you were respawning. BUT, he couldn’t hear you. . . . .
I would like to keep such situations from occurring. Otherwise, EVERYTHING should stay like Halo 3.

Social
In Social, you obviously should be allowed to talk in party chat or game chat.
But I also believe that Elites should be allowed in Social.
And players should be able to join games in which a spot is open.

Also, I believe that Social and Ranked should have separate ranking systems, like Arena in Reach.
In Ranked, you use 1-50, in Social, Reach’s system.
That way, both pros and noobs can rank up in some way. And they all lived happily ever after.
THE END.

The whole point in my idea is so everyone will get what they want.

If you disagree in anyway, feel free to respectfully leave a comment/reply.
Please respect my opinion.

Wait, I heard Elites are certain to not be in Halo 4, is this true?
And if so, what are your sources?

The GI article has announced Elites won’t be in H4.

I don’t think join in progress should be in H4, it would just result in joining at 40-0 down etc, plus we will have FAR more rage-quitters.

This.

i was in the middle of typing a decent post, but my computer reloaded the page for no reason, so now i am making it short

i kinda agree with the party chat thing, shouldnt apply for FFA and doubles if you are with a partner (assuming these playlists will be on the game)

anything goes in social, who gives a crap? thats what social is for

joining mid game shouldnt be in halo, it doesnt take long to find a full lobby, waiting wont kill anyone
