Hi any developers or readers I am writing to ask and sort of get confirmation about the splitscreen. Halo is and always has been one of my favorite games to play with friends because of the splitscreen. I know that splitscreen was confirmed but I am here to ask if that will be 4 player splitscreen. Please make 4 player splitscreen. A lot of games nowadays only have 2 player splitscreen and that isnt nearly as fun as being able to sit down with 3 friends and play together. So I am asking if anybody knows more about the splitscreen. Please just add 4 player splitscreen. Even if you are worried about frames or something just please add it because back in the older halos 30 fps was beautiful. It would also be great if we could get a four player splitscreen campaign. I would love this when friends want to enjoy the story and it would be great to enjoy it all in the same room, together. Same thing for all other modes and of you add firefight please make it 4 player. Thanks 343 and whoever reads this. It would be great it anyone knew about the four player splitscreen. I would probably buy an xbox one x if it was required to run splitscreen lol. Please respond developers and let me know or anyone else who might know something. Thanks…
We won’t get any information about splitscreen for some time. Remember that Halo: Infinite is 1 or even 2 years away from release, so I’m afraid that we will have to wait for a while before getting any specific info regarding the game. With that said, 4 player splitscreen is always welcome, even if it sometimes tanks the framerate and makes you look for your glasses when playing on a smaller screen.
I would love for split-screen to make a comeback. Halo was always fun when you can get a few friends over and play a few matches or going through the campaign. It was missed in the last game, so I hope it comes back for this one.
343 have already confirmed that moving forward, splitscreen will be returning to future Halo games, which would include Infinite due to it being a mainline title in the series.
Bonnie Ross already said that all future Halo shooters will have splitscreen.
Maybe not 4-player splitscreen. Ever since Halo 3 ODST, local co-op has been limited to 2 players (for 3- or 4-player co-op you needed two consoles on Live or system link). I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept that limitation.
I don’t think anyone knows anything about splitscreen other than it’s happening, besides 343i of course.
If they’re aiming for the game to look like that demo AND run at 4k/60fps I think two player splitscreen is probably already pushing it on the 1X, let alone the 1S. Though if they brought it down to 1080p/30fps I hope they could add 4 player. Multiplayer on the other hand is a different story. I’m sure they’d want to be able to keep frame rate locked at 60 across the board so I don’t think they’d sacrifice for 4 player.
