I’m still playing Halo Reach at traditional LAN parties, just barely figured out how to do MCC, but you have to go through the internet still. Kinda wondering why splitscreen and System Link have just died, literally one of my biggest highlights for each month. I don’t understand why it can’t be implemented, I mean I can connect a Xbox 360 and Xbox One and play Halo Reach, so why isn’t it in our games anymore? there are still plenty of us still that like to get together once in a while and hang out with friends/family. It’s just frustrating because to us Forge and custom games are basically worthless now, partly because only a few of us have a gold membership, but every other custom game lobby seems so dull compared to what we have, on the 5 year old game that is Halo Reach. It just is really unfortunate that this root of halo is being cut out…

343’s reasoning for the longest time was that offline system-link simply wasn’t possible on the XBox One. And then, Gears of War Ultimate edition came along and blew that theory out of the water.
