I would like to complain about the lack of split screen option on Halo 5. Since Halo Combat Evolved was launched for the original XBOX, me and my younger brother have played cooperatively all Halo games for Xbox consoles. Even when he wasn’t over 17, we both have played this game together which helped to create a strong brotherhood bond between us, even in at the hardest times. When our father died we had to move, along with our mother to a smaller apartment and had to sell a lot of things, but not the XBOX 360.
That artifact not only strengthened our bond, but also made us be together with our mom, when difficulties came. Now we’re both adults, we came over a lot of difficulties and still live with our mom, but a larger apartment. We bought the XBOX ONE console and Halo 5 game, hoping to remember those times when we were alone with each other against The Flood and The Covenant. We got very disappointed when we saw that there was no spliscreen option for cooperative mode missions.
I’m about to get married and move out from this apartment, but I wanted to enjoy some Halo time with my brother for the last time. I won’t have the space on the new apartment for an XBOX console, as there is a baby coming. I won’t enjoy those wonderful moments in which having a common enemy like The Covenant (or an economical home crisis), made me and my brother act like one and come over all difficulties. I know it sounds fool, bout videogames are more than just that. They are ways to keep a family together, to remember that things could be much worse and as long as we stay that way, we are stronger.
I know it’s too late, but you should consider this kind of things, at the moment of creating a new video game. It is used by human beings and may have powerful effects on us.
