Ok so some people say that split screen is “old” and “outdated” and if this is true then gaming is going down a dark road. There was a time when me and my buddy would play reach together on the same console because he could not afford one yet. When he did get one and we played reach over live it just wasn’t the same I missed having my buddy next to me when playing, so we still played split screen as much as over live. If playing next to your best friend is old or outdated then I’ll gladly be old but I’d gladly play on 30 FPS to play split screen with my buddy
I don’t know about the 30 fps, but split screen was a golden age.
It is expensive when multiple people in a family game. So I miss it too. In our living room we have two TVS next to each other with our own consoles. It is a pain in the butt because we use an ugly dresser and I have some old speaker just sitting on either side for the consoles to sit on top of. The cats jump all over them because where do you find a super long entertainment center that will fit two TVs and has shelf underneath for the billion consoles we have between the two of us? One day we will find something I hope. I guess we might have to get two someday when we are just overflowing with money.
