Is split screen even still on the table? Is it a possibility? Or did they decide that it is gone forever? Fewer people will play halo if this continues, i guarantee it…
I know there are other posts about this issue but I’m wondering if people just don’t care about split screen or if everyone has just moved on. I continue to astonish people when they ask to play the new halo and i tell them there is no split screen. many people i know who have roommates they play with have decided to not buy the game specifically because of this reason. who would buy a second x-bone just to play this game with their roommate? 343 has got this one all wrong, and part of me is surprised there isn’t still more calls for split screen to return.
please 343 make halo 5 split screen.

Split Screen will not be arriving for halo 5, but I believe it was said that it will be a priority in the next major Halo FPS.
It wont come to Halo 5. The way the engine runs is too taxing and literally doesnt work with splitscreen. 343i has mentioned this countless times.
Pisses me off that they deemed split screen not important enough for inclusion.

Nope, they said they are reconsidering it for the future thats all
Id be fine with it for customs or if only non ranked match playlists allowed it. One of the issues was that with guests was that if they quit they left the team down2-4 players which was common because of map voting and people getting mad over the map that was voted and quitting.
Split-screen CAN NOT be added to Halo 5 sadly. It’s because the physics require a constant 60 frames per second to function normally, if the game drops below that the physics will have trouble calculating. Hope for Halo 6 to have it.
i get the appeal of split screen from a purely social standpoint, so if they added it for campaign or social playlists i guess that would be fine. but lets be honest, split screen blows if you actually want to win a game. and there is nothing worse than being paired up with three other people who are all splitscreened. pretty much an automatic L
I don’t really get why it was so important, my friends and I have always HATED split-screen Halo. So much so that we would haul our Xboxes and our own old -Yoink- tube TVs over to a friends house and hook them up to play LAN parties. When Halo 2 came out, we did the same until we all got LIVE, then we’d each hook up our TVs in a different room and play on our own screens.
My favorite part of the lack of split-screen is you no longer join a slayer game with SOMEKID1997 and his three guests and get dominated anymore.
