As fantastic as Halo 5 looks, I think it is a horrible decision to remove split-screen from the Halo franchise. I’m not a game developer but the Xbox one is more power than the Xbox or Xbox 360. HUGE step backwards in my opinion. But like I said, I’m not a video game developer so I’m sure they had their reasons.

You’re right. You aren’t a game developer.
It’s a step back, but it’s not as if they didn’t do it in an effort to take multiple steps forward.
I’m not defending their decision, but I understand it. I personally would not have removed it if it were my choice, because this effects the community more than the actual game.
I don’t know that 343 understands how much they seem to be alienating the community that’s been following them. Do they think that they will be getting new fans in the wake of the cool stuff they’ve been doing enough to outweight the followship dropoff this franchise will suffer due to their mistakes and outright bad decisions?
A true next-gen experience IS being able to play with friends in the SAME ROOM!
I have been an avid halo follower since the beginning and one of the main reasons is the split screen.
I am willing to boycott halo 5 if this decision is not reversed. I know I am far from alone on this!

Trust me, WE ALL WANT IT, but it’s not a must, and I know 343 would love to be able to implement it, but there’s more important things. I’d rather have a more stable launch and no split screen then the opposite.

Wow, you don’t know the troubles of being a game developer. I almost felt bad for 343 when the announcement was made for “No Splitscreen”, not me, not the fans, because I knew stupid -yoinks- like you would show up and -yoink- all over 343 cuz even though they’re trying their best to give us a good game, and you’re complaining over one feature being left out? Grow up, open your eyes, and take lesson on how it is to make a game.

and just to let you guys know before this gets locked. THERES A REASON ACTUALLY MULTIPLE IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT WHY THEY COULDNT ADD SPLITSCREEN, REASON BEING THE ENGINE RUNS AT 60FPS TONING THAT DOWN TO 30FPS OR JUST A LITTLE BIT WOULD MESS UP EVERYTHING IN THE GAME LIKE PLAYER TRACKING AND BULLET TRACKING AND A NUMBER OF OTHER MORE IMPORTANT THINGS THEN SPLITSCREEN.i think thepatriot knows what im talking about
