Hi, I remember there was some rumor that in season 2 there will be such a possibility to somehow play on PC with friends on a split screen.
Anyone knows is it really possible, or it will be only in season 3?
If its already available, can somebody share how to launch it?

I believe splitscreen on PC specifically is something that’s “under investigation” and is not confirmed. Splitscreen currently, to my knowledge, is an Xbox-only feature. The MP reveal article on Waypoint insinuates this:

Of course, online isn’t the only way to enjoy multiplayer – Halo Infinite will also support splitscreen on Xbox and LAN play via a PC local server.

I doubt they will get split screen working on PC.
Different MS devs have commented on this over the years, but it’s basically a Windows problem - Windows doesn’t currently have any way to have multiple users signed in for online gaming.
So I’m not sure they’ll ever get more than offline campaign working in split screen, if even that, for PC.

Gears 5 on PC allows for split screen campaign and it basically just uses a guest login for the second player in an offline mode - the wife and I did a few levels like this before we couldn’t take the tiny split screen windows and went back to our dedicated gaming setups instead of trying to splitscreen on our media room PC. I doubt we’ll get even this on PC with Infinite - the userbase for this feature is rather small, and I imagine it would be significant work to get running well.

Exactly. It forces an offline mode in Gears 5 for this exact reason. I expect the best they will be able to do is something similar for Halo.
