I’m quite liking splitgate, I also think it’d be a good idea for Halo to copy it back and steal the portals for a action sack game mode.
Could just use the equipment button and fire the same colour portal out but the first portal fired out of the two is always replaced. Because controller players are already running out of buttons to use two separate ones.
There’d have to be rules though, because having certain areas in maps like splitgate would be very un-halo and being able to fire anywhere would be OP. Maybe only fire on floors so the angle limits the distance. Might try myself using teleporters when forge comes out.
I just wish splitgate would increase the deadzone limits because I’m having to constantly hold the look stick slightly to the left.
They had their fair share of issues too, but they did also make a very fun game with little staff. Fantastic work from them really.
I liked it, but ultimately the population and gunplay was not enough to keep me around. Had fun playing competitively but I’ve not been back since Infinite dropped.
I mean you can definitely tell in the production quality though. Infinite has its share if technical issues for sure, but let’s not sit here and pretend Splitgate isn’t a tier below AAA titles (including Infinite) in terms of graphics, sound quality, and design. It’s not like Splitgate is pushing boundaries forward from a technical perspective.
Not saying it’s bad. I’m actually really happy Splitgate exists now. Direct competition to Halo in the arena shooter space will likely just end well for us players.
