I don’t understand them. Why is it that I can try to carefully tip toe around my team when I’m in a vehicle but If I nudge one of them ever so slightly they die? And why is it that I can run into an enemy going full speed, but all that happens to them is they lose their shield? Shouldn’t that be the other way around?
Your teammates don’t expect being splattered by a friendly vehicle so they don’t use their temporary overshield to minimize splatter damage. /sarcasm

Yeah it annoys the hell out of me. After I get the commendation I wont be trying splatters anymore
today I had three people lined up for a splatter, got a successful flank with a ghost. I boosted full speed in to them. Result: one guy lost shields, I get emp’d and sticky raped.
Yeah. Yesterday I betrayed a teammate while moving at like 1 kmph. Splattering enemies seems random as well. Sometimes they die easily; sometimes they just lose their shields; sometimes they get “ejected” to the left/right without damage. Completely inconsistent. I wonder if it has something to do with lag.
I’m also a huge fan of the teammate sprinting nto the side of my slow moving warthog and dying thing.
You know, that is a really good point OP. Don’t know why that never occurred to me before but you are right. If you don’t hit an opponent hard enough to splatter they will skip and hop back, but if you hit a teammate at the same pace it will take their shields down completely if not kill them. Excellent catch. Worth addressing by 343.
I agree completely and also noticed this. I got splattered by a ghost moving like a cool breeze yet my spartan went down like it was going 200mph. Bottom line, this is just another example of the poor programming, physics, etc. of a game trying to being Halo but fails in quality.
