Okay so I don’t know if I’m the only one that’s really noticed this but has anyone else felt that the splatter system in Halo 5 has been broken since just after the firefight update? I’ve been able to kinda shrug stuff off for a while as to bugs and broken systems because generally it gets fixed in the next update but it’s been at least two updates since I’ve really started noticing the issue. I don’t understand the system, and it may just be my fault, but seriously, if I am slaming into a guy and carrying him five feet into a wall and all it does is pop his shields and he high jacks my vehicle and goes and does the same thing to another person and kills him it gets frustrating. I was just in a warzone match and an enemy was in a ghost standing still and from a dead stop with no boost shifts to the left two feet and splatters my full shield Spartan with the side of the ghost, the side like where the circle is. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Does anyone else have this issue?
As memory serves, the physics behind splattering has been a little odd since the very beginning of Halo. I remember in Halo CE, if the vehicle was even in motion and you touched it, you died.
Personally, I found Halo 4’s vehicle splattering physics to be the worst. A friendly 'hog backs up to give me quicker access to the chaingun, hits me, and I die. Same 'hog plows through a dude at max speed, yet he lives. =/
I don’t think the splatter physics in Halo 5 are as bad or odd as some other Halo titles, but I totally understand where you’re coming from… Trying to board a wraith or scorpion… getting clipped by a ghost as in your example…

Yeah, I’ve noticed that splatters are WAY too easy in this game. In the rest of the games, you’d have to be fully accelerating in a Ghost to get a splatter. Now? You can just nudge them and they die. And now it’s much more common to be splattered by a Warthog than in previous games, where as it used to be nigh impossible.
splatters never happen unless u dont want them
Splattering and physics have been Crap sense Halo 4, go figure…
The Splattering System has been broken since Halo 5’s launch, IMO. You just have to tap an enemy Spartan (or teammate) and they’ll go flying. I think that’s one reason why players get so many betrayals, including me, unfortunately.
The splatter, boarding, and entry physics in H5 are the worst since H2.
Tanks can splatter while going 1 mph in reverse. Ghost at full speed just nudges dude to the side and goes by. Hi jackers can jack you from 10 feet away and teleport onto you. You run next to a tank try to board it or jack it, but noooooo, can only do it from this 2 ft x 2 fx area on the side. The rest of the perimeter is inaccessible. Tons of BS.
These physics were probably at their best in Halo Reach and went downhill since then.
They seem ok to me
no but seriously while it is easier to splatter some one I haven’t noticed any changes in it since launch. You just have to be careful driving. If you want practice on not splattering teammates play Halo CE in MCC. All a vehicle has to do is tap some one and they are dead. Heck I would splatter myself getting out of a sliding warthog sometimes.
I thought some thing happened to it on the monitors bounty cause spattering flips the vehicle a lot now.
I’ll also say this, playing warzone assault, if the map and conditions are right, I’ll spawn in a scout 'hog solely for the purpose of running people over. The odd thing is, it works pretty well. Either spattering people in a scout hog is easier, or perhaps the vehicle just handles a lot better than a traditional 'hog. There have a been a few times I’d hit someone and they didn’t die, but there are more times I’d hit someone, and be very grateful they died… because it seemed like I was, perhaps, going too slow.
Splatter system in every Halo has been inconsistent. But I haven’t noticed anything different since the update.
i have the best solution replace the H5 splatter system with the CE one, there would be dead spartans flying across the map.
You normally won’t splatter someone if they are not running directly at you. You have to be going full speed, either boosting or just full speed. It’s a lot easier if they are running towards you.
