Splatter in Halo 4 is ridiculous!

I can’t Splatter anyone they only lose shields when i hit them with full speed. I mean whats up with that? I want that verdant visor so bad but i roughly get 1 Splatter a game. So frustrating…

My issue is that I can’t splatter anyone without my Ghost or Warthog falling over.

i get splatters with no problems.

To me, it feels like the splattering is too easy. I’ve been splattered by vehicles that barely even touched me.

Well, if you’re getting 1 splatter a game you’re making progress.

Keep at it!

Personally I haven’t found splattering to be much more difficult than Reach though.

It’s funny because even when 343 showed off the Road Trip medal for the first time they couldn’t even get a splatter with the hog on a guy standing still. Splatters are kinda iffy in this game. The jump height is already super high. If people aren’t smart enough to jump away from a fast moving vehicle they should die. It’s funny because half the time when I try to hijack the wraith it’ll hit me moving sideways going about half a mile per hour and I’ll die… A wraith going sideways(not even knowing I’m their) can splatter me while it’s hardly moving yet I can hit people at top speed in the hog and they kinda just shoot across the map. They need to find a middle ground like say… Halo 2 splatters. Halo CE it was way to easy to get splatters. Halo 3, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 splatters are all kind of glitchy. Halo 2 for the most part gave you splatters when it felt like you should earn them and didn’t give you them if you shouldn’t have earned them.

This is was freaking piss me off!!! The enemies don’t even hit the boost for example from the ghost and splatter me but when I do even with boost they only lose their shields and hijack me aferwards.

It’s kind of off. Hitting people at full speed will fling them away, but barely tapping them will splatter them.

Splatters seem extremely easy to get, especially with the Ghost. I’ve jumped clearly over it only to have it still kill me.

This. Last night I was splattered by running into the side of a ghost going maybe 5mph.

…and this is the exact reason why i miss armor lock. Im sick and tired with cheap players ramming me into a wall or running me over. Spartan crossing y’know.

Splatters feel so inconsistent. Sometimes my Ghost just rips through people without even trying. Other times(a lot recently) I hit people straight on, even multiple people in a row, and have them shrug it off without taking damage. They then hijack and kill me because the splatter system decided to bloom.

I hate being punished by randomness.

…You know you can jump over Ghosts, right? And it takes a while for a Warthog to gain the momentum for a splatter.

I am glad Armor Lock is gone; it ruined vehicle combat entirely.

4/10 bounces off my Ghost… even making me roll over sometimes wich makes it quite irritating.

IMO Reach splatters were much harder.

Splattering is easy. You’re doing it wrong. If you’re just knicking them with a side of your vehicle its not gonna kill them.
I’ve gotten plenty of splatters (notice the green visor). It’s different from Halo: Reach but makes more sense. Now you cannot splatter them by just clipping them.

Here’s a tip- never try to splatter someone who is looking at you. When you get your ghost (best for splats) hang around the outside of the map until you see someone in a gunfight or just not focused on you, go at him. Make sure you’re gonna nail him with the center of your vehicle. You’ll get plenty. Good luck!

True, but i actually evaded only 3 i got rammed 5 times. The plasma pistol probably would’ve done wonders.

I hit 2 people straight on with the hood of my Ghost today. They took 0 damage. Would you like a clip?

Then use the Plasma Pistol? Vehicle combat is fine when it actually works.

I find getting splattered myself is way way too easy. Just getting tapped by a Ghost seems to result in a splatter, or even if I jump over a Ghost as it rushes me it seems to just clip me and kill me.
