Just wanted to express a concern regarding the spartan laser commendation. I understand the difficulty in getting it as it should be. However, with the recent changes in map selection and game types it has proven to be even more difficult. I have played all the different game types there are that offer the spartan laser. The most successful for me has been Dominion or Big Team Skirmish CTF Ragnarok. On dominion game types I would average about 3-4 kills a game and on Big Team Skirmish CTF Ragnarok I would average atleast 7 kills a game. All of which require patience and just simply knowing what you are doing. Now, there are times where a good spartan laser map will not be an option for votes which I am okay with. The game has to offer a variety, but lately with the lack of power weapon drops in Dominion and never ever seeing BTS CTF Ragnarok as an option, I have been having a very difficult time finding a spartan laser or even seeing one spawn at all. It has been made depressingly difficult and a huge time sink. It was difficult before, but now just seems extremely annoying.
I would suggest atleast increasing its spawn rate or placing just one more extra splaser in each match. Not sure how it would affect the gameplay on each map but of course it would require testing. Just a suggestion.
I agree with you, last night I was looking to finish up my lazer and SAW kills. I rarely play Dominion so I went on remembering that it was a Slpazer, Rocket, and SAW fest. Then I get on and all that seems to spawn is fricken load out weapons. (totally pointless) So, I too am stuck, and aggravated. Due to work and other things I can’t play as much as I would like. This mean is will take my months and months just to master one damn gun, really irritating.
In BTIS are a lot of Spartan Lasers recently, especially on Ragnarok and Exile where it spawns like every 2 or 3 minute. PLus it feels like you get it more often in your PO.
I think with the recent changes it got a lot easier to get Splaser kills in BTB.
When your team is holding the hill on Ragnarok and you know what you are doing, then you can easily get up to 15 kills with it in a single game.
