Spirit of Fire marines in trailer

Could those marines possibly be part of the Spirit of Fire crew? Look at these Halo Wars 2 images of marines:

  • Image 1 - Image 2Then go back to the Infinite trailer and examine those marines… is it possible that these are stranded marines from the Spirit of Fire or is it just a art style change? Despite the evidence of Zeta Halo, could maybe that specific shot of marines & chief take place on Installation 04c or maybe even the Ark? I don’t wanna be looking too deep into this but 343i did say HW2 will have some impact on Infinite. Thoughts?

It’s a possibility; it could also just be a reused asset (though, that’s unlikely, but still a possibility as it WAS just a trailer). I think the SoF’s Marines have different armor now though.

Could be just a reused asset… they kind of look like Reach soldiers.

Yeah, the armor of each Halo game has roughly remained the same, but is visually changed every time.

The Marines in the Halo Infinite trailer are specifically wearing a variant of armour worn by the soldiers in Halo Reach.

  • Halo Reach Soldiers. - Halo Infinite MarinesThere is no evidence stating from which ship they are from; although it is easier to presume that they are from the Infinity and this is just how they look after the art re-design. Ultimately it is impossible to tell where they are from until there is more information; but I doubt its from the SoF who I doubt would abandon the Ark to the Banished even if the could.

I personally think that when 343 said that HW2 will impact Infinite, that they were referring to Anders as she is separated from her crew and has, well, you know; seen a Guardian which is straight from the mainline games.

That’s what I thought…had more of a Reach/CEA look.
