While you were away, Halo 4 has since been cancelled for copyright infringement by James Cameron and will be held indefinitely until Microsoft Studios executives can be charged in court and executed by the Na’vi High Council.
As well, the 2011 Spike TV’s Video Game Awards was a monumentally sad event. Hundreds of lives were lost when poor comedy, poor voting choices, and sh!tty presenters were just too much to bear, and the attendees soon attacked the staff. The holographic figures then turned on their biological creators and wasted the H20 loving population of the building. Also, rightfully so, Mass Effect 3 was voted best anticipated game. 
Short story short, there was nothing shown there.
