For aesthetics and geez I can’t stress that enough.I’d love to see some SPI armor in the next halo, for those of us whom favor the spartan III
I don’t particularly like S-IIIs but I would like an updated SPI armour as a variant in Halo 5.

This just looks so good
I agree, SPI armour looks so cool, and I have wanted to see it implemented into a Halo game ever since I’ve seen the cover of Ghosts of Onyx. Now that Halo 4 has started the trend of having every bit of armour be customizable, I see no reason for them to not give us SPI.
I never cared for GOA, and honestly always thought the cover was just an EVA variant. But the more the merrier… just look at Barrioth’s link. ::Drool::
I don’t see why not. we’ve already got Mark IV, VI, and ODST. I’m sure SPI could make the transition to GEN 2.

It is quite -Yoink!- ain’t it
I thought “Rogue” was the updated version of that.

Yeah… but the Strider set looks even more like it, in my eyes… EVA could also pass as well.
Find me proof of that
SPI had a special reflecting panel so it would blend in with its environment, no where have I read anything about that in these “armour”

"Although Tom wore a full suit of Semi Powers Infiltration armor (Colloquially called “SPI” armor by Section Three technophiles), its hardened plates and photo-reactive panels could only take a few glancing shots before failing. The armor’s camouflaging textures sputtered and stabilized, however; and once again blended into the rocky terrain.
-Halo: Ghosts of Onyx Prologue
Just to clear everything up.

I wasn’t arguing that … I was just saying the design of the old SPI was incorporated into either Rogue or, more likely Strider (I think you’re right ComicBeast). Not in any canonical sense, just in that new armor was needed for Halo 4 so they kind of borrowed from an old design.
But they should absolutely bring it back in Halo 5.
Great book - Ghosts of Onyx. SPI armor I think would be a neat expansion of choices! Never thought of it, but cool!
Been wanting SPI armour since I read Ghosts on Onyx. So far, the closest we’ve got is Halo 4’s EVA helmet, but damn it I want the actual thing!
I hope 343 fixes their Sporty armours…
and put some juice of these back in the game.
suit1
suit 1.5
suit2
suit3
suit4suits
The one missing ingredient 343 didn’t use…
Density
Many of the Infinity suits just had some armour put on there while with the previous halo games it formed more of a suit ( a genuine mjölnir suit). Halo 4 lacked it, and it needs to be fixed.
