Spend more money gain multiplayer advantage?

"Everyone will have access to select Specializations,
but those that purchase the Halo 4 Limited Edition will receive the ability to unlock six Specializations early, available at launch on Xbox LIVE. You can use them, one at a time, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options."

How dare you give people who spend more a matchmaking advantage?
You claim to wanting to keep multiplayer competitive.
then you go right ahead and pull this kind of crap?

Seriously 343i go take a long hard think about this community.
I personally would have paid the extra for a Mark IV figure.
I have no argument with the rest of the package you’re offering.

But please for the love of god take out the above.
I want my day 1 of halo 4 to be fair and even.
I will be buying the limited edition, but that shouldn’t give me any right to be better than someone else just because I have the money to buy a more expensive edition.

6 up-grades makes it more competitive, and speeds up gameplay because the person with 6 up-grades will kill faster, you should love this. Also, at the bottom of your post you say you want it to be fair, no one is making you use those up-grades.

lol you jelly cauz’ i’m already good and be just more good at the start as you will be weak and fail

:o)

On a more serious note, i’m pretty sure any hardcore player will have unlock them before the game is release (nearly).

I highly doubt people will be starting the first day with juggernaut and martyrdoms, Nor will they ever. 5 shots is all it will take, the same as everyone else.

its already been stated the the specs. will NOT modify health, shields or damage. so your worrying about nothing.

It’s more about the fact they went down this road.
I like to get a figure or something that is limited edition.
Just by giving people early unlocks isn’t limited at all.

It’s just an easy way to make an extra $30 without giving real fan service.

we get an exclusive emblem and ar skin. theres your “limited” thing. and its still not a cheat sheet. i don’t see how my extra ammo is going to beat you. after all it only applys to utility weapons not power weapons. or how i might be able to sprint farther or jump a little higher. yeah thats totally going to make me SO much better then you. they will help SLIGHTLY. and in only certain situations. so really. your whining over nothing.

While they’re at it they should remove the ability to play everything except matchmaking because the people who start playing MM first will get ahead of those who play campaign, which would make it unfair. /sarcasm

But seriously give it a few weeks and everything will begin to even out and everyone will start to be equal sooner or later.

We’ll know more at E3 for sure I think.

So…Specializations are something completely new and no one knows what it will be or what it will do, and you assume it gives an unfair advantage! HOW DARE YOU! You claim 343 is being unfair when you are being unfair saying something no one knows about is unfair. Look in the mirror.

Trust me, it wont be as bad as you think. They arent doing cod perks, no they are doing armor specializations. Thats like, a tiny it more sprint or faster moving, or higher jump.

Nothing to worry about.

We don’t even know what these “specializations” are yet…

The way I read it made it seem like these specializations are some kind of rank increasing system, like an exp booster pack or a prestige

reminds me a bit of prestige points in mw3. not comparing, cause we dont even know what specializations even are, but im sure it’ll all be fine in the end

> The way I read it made it seem like these specializations are some kind of rank increasing system, like an exp booster pack or a prestige

The way I’ve read it, it made it seem like we would have to wait for E3 because all they are doing is teasing us about what we don’t know! I’m not saying you are wrong, it could very well be that, but no one, except 343, has any idea of what it does. So therefore, before we start pointing fingers, we should wait until either
A. We have the game in our hand or
B. until E3

For the love of Halo… RE-READ your quote.

Where does it at all say that specializations are going to have an effect in Multiplayer?

It’s like you people make this crap up because you enjoy either A.) Lying to the community, or B.) Looking like a dimwit.

Which is it?

Huffle-puff:

If the game is balanced and you really are “better” than me, it won’t matter what I have , you’ll still take me down.
(powerweapons excluded, but we don’t normally spawn with those, it has to be Snipers or Splockets to spawn with a sniper or rockets)

Just like in Battlefield 3, it won’t matter that some new player bought all their kits compared to myself who has unlocked over 80% of all the kit options (99% of the infantry kits unlocked), it’s not what they have, it’s how they use it.

Does it matter in CoD when a level 55 but never-prestige’d player faces off against a recently presitge’d player who has “nothing”?

If someone spawns in game with a specialization that another player does not have unlocked, that is not Halo in my opinion. Halo is everyone starts equal which has been completely and utterly dominated by 343’s quest for money. RIP Halo, Sadface.

Guess you won’t be buying it then. Oh, wait, you will.

Since you know what Specializations are, tell me, what are they? I would love to know, and since you know they give you an unfair advantage, you must know what they are. So tell me, what are they?
