Speed increased => No Sprint

As many of you know, Halo 4 speed had increased. Maybe it is similar to Halo 3 movement speed. Here the comparison:

So, do you think that this will make sprint less-used? What are your thoughs related to this two features?

If it works for the game, then meh, whatever.

Although I’m sure a lot of people will complain about it anyways and edit the settings until they’re happy.

With Sprint being a core gameplay mechanic, maps are designed with it in mind. In Reach, maps are kinda designed with and without it in mind, so Sprint seems either mandatory to travel, or that it is powerful in some maps.

You may not have heard, but the SparkCast revealed that sprinting has received some tweaking: Get shot while sprinting, and you’ll slow down. Add that you can’t shoot while sprinting, getting caught too soon will bring too much risk for rushing.

Waparound and Warhouse dont look much bigger than any other Halo map. And sprint is used to cover long distances.

Based on what? Less than a minute of work-in-progress vids from a vidoc, 2 RvB vids and Conan’s epic montage? We really don’t have enough info on the maps that can support that claim.

We have the choice. I think that is awesome.

Plus Big Team games will rely heavily on Sprint, so no.

I think they are trying to make maps similar to Halo 2 arena maps. Of course I am not sure about its size, but in 4 vs 4 you cant make maps bigger.

For example. In Halo Reach, playing 5 vs 5 in Highlands, makes the game slow and annoying.

On smaller maps for 4v4 sprint is not necissery but on bigger maps we will need it.
