What did the Librarian do to John? I’m aware she evolved him to the peak of Human evolution, and that he’s now immune to the composer, but what else did she do? What are the repercussions of that. He could live longer, so he’ll be around for a while. Also, do we know if he’s taller? He looks massive in the epilogue, and I didn’t think he was that much taller than Palmer beforehand.
no hes always been tall
spartan II’s are massive
which makes me wonder how they hide behind cover
still
on topic I thinkg he might me a forerunner now
that legendary ending defiantly made him look a lot less human to me.
I’m still confused on how Chief can’t get composed… I thought all organic matter can be composed? And while we are at that. How come the Didact can’t be composed? How did his failed flood-immunity mutation/whateveritis prevent him from not being able to be digitized?

I have a theory that the Didact partially infected himself and thats why he cant be composed.

That’s what I was thinking, he looks massive in the Epilogue. While in the campaign when Chief and Palmer met, Palmer looked to be as tall as him. Something was definitely different about him.
The Chief cant magically grow a few more inches, his suit is precisely calibrated ti hi,. if he grew, it wouldn’t fit right and look odd.
Oh you’re right. Plus I went back to the cutscenes, he was indeed taller than Palmer from when they first met.
I don’t know what was up with the Legendary Ending, but the Chief has not grown. His armor would not fit if he had.

How so? He still looked perfectly Human. 2 eyes, a nose. What’s not human?

I hope he’s not referencing how pasty he was. Being in armor 95% of the time has the tendency to make people pasty. Also, the reason Chief’s eyes were in shadow was thematically because the eyes are the “windows to the soul” and after all he’s been through and now the “death” of Cortana, his soul is dark.
What I do find disturbing however, is Chief’s lack of eyebrows.
The “psudo-terminal” in the sub level of the cartogropher room says something to sound of “The Mantle of responsability belongs to those whose evolution is farthest.”
The Librarian forcefully evolved John to a level that would make him immune to the composer. It would seem in this action she also handed him the reigns of the Mantle.
