speculation on player count

now this is all based off of the wording of something frank o connor said, which may have been misquoted, so strap on your tin foil hats people!

this is a link to a shudder halo follower video, but thats cause it was short and had what frank said and im too lazy to find the actual source in the hour long panel: - YouTube go to 6:10.

now the fact he says they have something to say in the future leads me to think they will FINALLY increase it. usually if they dont have anything to say, they just say ‘we currently have no plans’ or something. now i doubt say 7 months from now they have a panel and they say ‘we’re proud to announce that the player count drum roll is the exact same! yay!’. frank said they have something to say about it which means it will probably be a change. that or they over did the competitive thing and lowered the cap to 8 to make tge game more competitive, which letsface it, wont be happening.

another thing, not with what he said, but just as a general point. i see lots of people going crazy about how good those halo 5 shots in the trailer looked, and while it was nice, im gonna have an unpopular opinion and say from what ive seen (i know work in progress yadda yadda yadda i dont need you to tell me that!) it doesnt look much nicer than halo 4. so that makes me think theyll use the next gen console to power something else, and my thinking that would be to handle more players in a game.

so what are your thoughts?

Well first of all you seem to be very unskilled in linking youtube videos with a timestamp (really not that hard considering youtube made an option for it under “sharing”).

Second of all you’re using HaloFollower as a source, the FoxNews of Halo. So bring us the panel video with the timestamp rather than the guy who got a lot of information wrong on 4.

Third of all, Halo 4 was 720P30, Halo 5 will be 1080P60, now you might not have a screen to see that difference (in Youtube terms that is called viewing with a potato) but Halo 5 will definitely ask a lot from the console to render this (twice the resolution at twice the speed).

Actually we do not know that yet. All they have promised about Halo 5 is the 60fps.

Considering Microsoft wishes to push the console by advertising that its console can handle 1080P 60FPS, it would be really bad marketing for Microsoft if their flagship franchise would fall short on one of those two.

Interesting. Perhaps the player count will be increased after all.
