Judging off the update posted today it’s looking like we are getting close to flight 2. An optimistic, yet, realistic guess is 2-4 weeks which is pretty exciting!

They’ve said in their updates that they are no longer putting out possible dates for flights because it has been obvious they can’t fulfill their promises. Everyone just needs to realize that: It’s ready when it’s ready. That’s all there is to it.
Seems like a good guess to me. Although if some of those bugs they listed remain illusive then might be a bit longer but soon TM.
I’m approximating a Nov Dec release. We’ll assume that flight two comes out at the end of this month, and that The third flight gets delayed until the end of October, final bugs fleshed out In November with possible release then or December.

In any case I’ll be too buried in school work to enjoy Reach, but I’ll still try and make time for it.
Well even if it comes out a bit later, i think we should appreciate 343 and the cooperative effort of the other studios to make this happen.
Gaming companies these days gets away with lack of honesty, rushed products and little to no developement process (Anthem, Mass effect andromeda, Destiny 2 etc)
343 Comes out and says ‘‘it’ll be ready when it’s ready’’ which in other words is them saying they don’t intend on aiming for a poor launch, and wish to please the fans but at the cost of time. Surely the best of the best takes its time to make, and i sure wouldn’t want another MCC launch disaster again, i’m still traumatized by the flame wars here hahaha.
Anyways i think it’s realistic to assume Fireflight will be ready during septemper, if it’s in Ring 2 as they call it.

Getting salty over something that NOONE here has control over is not helpful or constructive. The 343i team realizes that a bad launch, even if its just a few public flights that go poorly, could spell disaster for this game on PC. Id rather have them take their time and make the game a success instead of being pushed into releasing buggy trash just so you can get all amped up on Monster and thump your chest in MP before the official release.
