Interesting idea, not quite sure how I feel about it…
Honestly this isn’t a bad idea, we do have spectating mode to a limited degree: When youre out of lives in a custom game or just waiting to spawn you’re able to view other screens and talk to them, no free mode unless theater. I would also like first person of other players to be available in a recent film in theater, it’s always third view.

Great idea but the coching one should be left to ranked or arena or what ever they are going to call it in halo 4.

Has there been any rumours, or has anybody asked whether there would be spectator mode? If they announce it, suddenly alot of competitive communities (Not just the Halo Council, Grif, BTB.net, EGL, ACL) have a major game changer which instantly boosts their needs. Theres no competitive games out there now that dont have a spectator mode. Halo 4 is touted as updating the series to modern times, this is needed.
ehhh. If it wasn’t in the game I wouldn’t be heartbroken at all or even notice.
It’s not really for your average players, its more for content creators, tournament organizers and casters.

I think it’ll be a nifty feature if they implemented it. I mean, it couldn’t hurt. As long as they don’t take resources away from the campaign.
