Since I haven’t seen anyone post this before, I think I will. I’ve always wanted to have the option to spectate games that other people are playing (over Xbox Live.) For example, if two of my friends are playing against each other in a 1v1, I usually want to watch the game in real time, but I have to join the game as another player which can be annoying because one of the other players can unfairly kill me and I can’t watch the game from different angles without committing suicide and that only lasts about 10 seconds (I guess you could make it last forever by only giving players 25 lives, but that means I would have to die 25 times.) It would be nice if 343i gave us the <mark>option</mark> in custom games to allow spectators and have them watch the game as if it is in theater mode; what do you think? If someone didn’t want them, then they could just keep the option disabled.
This could work for Custom Games, but not matchmaking, as it would probably cause unnecessary lag.
