I read that the next 6 Specializations will only be able to be downloaded through a code sent to your e-mail address associated with your gamertag. the email address associated with mine is so old that i do not remember the password or anything about it… i have tried to change it to my actual e-mail but have had no success. is there any other way i can get that code or something, i pre-ordered from gamestop, but it was not the legendary edition so essentially all i can figure is that i am screwed royally
Ya, sorry, I have a post about this. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen a game company do. Why through email? This is going to be a nightmare.
Personally, I believe it should be similar to the method used for the 10th anniversary helmet. I received emails AND Xbox messages holding the codes for the Avatar helmet. But then again, it’s all speculation at this point. but power to them, I just want my codes to keep on playing what’s been an overall enjoyable experience.
- Go to Xbox.com
- Log into your live account.
- Go to account settings.
- Change the email for your live account.
- Wait for your specialization email.
It’s really not that hard to do that. I had to do it a few months back because my email got hacked. I’m pretty sure you’ll still get the email because I don’t know anyone who’s gotten theirs yet.
confirm a link proving that it’s being sent via email. how do people unless it was posted on here by 343?
Yahoo locked mine down a week before the game come out. After not being successful at getting it unlocked i went made new yahoo account. Then went to xbox.com went into where the personal settings are and changed it to the new email. Afterwards they sent me my verification email to set up the windows live id which is linked to the gamertag. Then i think it said it could take up to 24hrs for changes to take effect but mine was only 2hrs before it was shown on my xbox
even if you don’t get the code, you will still be able to unlock the specializations. They will be rolled out one at a time though.
