I have been hearing a ton about “kill farming” and this armor. I understand that you need to be in a company but outside of that I do not understand what needs to be done. Can someone please assist me?
Basically, complete lvl 3 of all kill commendations to unlock the armor, and complete lvl 5 kill commendations to unlock the helmet. “Kill farming” is the term used to basically say that the enemy team trapped you in your core and “farmed” you for kills with overpowering REQs, spawntrapping etc.
When in a Spartan Company you complete a set of commendations to unlock it.
And everyone in your company has to accomplish reaching level 3 and level 5? Thank you for your help
Everyone in the company has to work towards the company commendation. Just like you have individual commendations to complete, your company has requirements they have to meet. For example, one commendation is to kill 100,000 enemy Spartans. So every kill that everyone in the company gets contributes to that.
See that makes more sense. I am in a company but I have no idea where to find these different company achievements. Any idea where to start looking?
If you’re in a spartan company you’ll need to finish level 3 of all company commendations (not individual) for the armor and level 5 for the helmet. It takes a very long time because some of the kills are harder to come across (first strikes, spartan charges, and promethean kills were the last ones my company got for level 3). The commendations are just very grindy though. The last level of spartan kills is close to 500k kills. Then there’s kills with power weapons, loadout weapons, and vehicles that just add to the total. My company just got the armour yesterday and I must say, it looks super nice. The issue was some companies would farm to get kills as fast as possible so they could get the armour quickly. They’d get into parties of 12, capture all the bases, and spawn kill at the enemy core until they won without trying to destroy the core.
To sum up the kill farming part, lets just say for 3/5 you need to land 90000 headshots.
