I can’t hear gamechat when I play online because I split my mic in and audio out on my headset between my monitor and controller. I.e. My headset takes in audio from the tv, but sends out mic input through the controller. For some reason, when the controller audio jack is in use, the game directs all gamechat audio to the controller jack, which means if your headset is taking audio from somewhere else, you can’t hear gamechat. Game needs an option to direct gamechat audio to “speakers,” “headset” (i.e. controller audio jack), or “both,” as exists in options on xbox under “General”–> “Volume and Audio Output” → “Additional Options” → “Party Chat Output”
I made a support ticket (362564), but was told by a support agent to make noise on here and on reddit. If there’s a better forum to make noise about this, please direct me there!
