I played against a fella using the WetWork spec and noticed that when I was using promethean vision he didn’t light up red. Pretty sure he also wasn’t using cloak and was moving. So I’m wondering if Specializations get bonus perks?
Yes.
That’s one of the things Wetwork gives you. Everyone knows about this. Wetwork makes you silent, have faster assassinations, and you appear as a red outline on PV.
EDIT: The specializations each give you one more armor mod. Not sure if you actually knew this.
I love fooling Promethean Vision people with my AvCam-WetWorks class, on the times when I need to be sneaky to get that damn sniper or some other guy who’s annoying me.
Also, the faster assassinations, they don’t seem to work yeah? The aerial assassinations seem quicker, but the ones on the ground seem to proceed at the same speed as normal. Is it busted, or is it just a very slight increase in speed? Do the people register as “dead” sooner in the animation?
Oh well, that’s exciting. Something to look forward too, instead of simple skins.
Yea, this is also news to me. I didn’t know that Specializations increase your max level cap. It would make sense that they would also have some sort of special ability or perk as well. As to which Specialization does what I haven’t the faintest idea.
Yes, they all have unique armor mods you get after completing the specialization AKA hitting the 10th rank of said specialization. Dude here gave you a link to each armor mod they give you.

But don’t the perks you get from specializations take up your tactical package slot? If so once I reach my lv10 Operator then thats going out the door, would rather have grenadier than any of this near useless crap personally.

No, some give you Support. I.E. Wetwork gives you a support package. I think they are split halfway. You have to look that up yourself. Not all are tactical.
Honestly depends on your play style. Less flinch is an enormous benefit in larger maps, and the ability to not be seen as easily on PV and/or quieter footsteps can help if you spend time behind enemy lines. Footsteps are pretty freaking loud in this game, and WW makes it so you make no noise when walking/running. If you crouch or jump you make a little, but not much.
