Specializations for the Rest of The World

So to my full understanding, until 343 Industries deems us, players in the West, Europe and such, we will not be able to rank above 70. Normally, I wouldn’t mind, it is after all only a number. The problem lies in the fact that “game changing” perks are only available to certain specializations.

First we have the Pioneer, who gives players an xp boost. Then there’s rogue’s ability which allows the player to have steady aim while being shot at. Tracker can “re-roll” the ordinance drop. These are not minor perks, having them is a distinct advantage.

There is no incentive for non-US players to even play once they reach 70, as for the moment they will unlock nothing. 343 is cutting a huge chunk out of the market by locking these specializations.

I have been playing Halo since Halo CE, still jump on time to time, remarkably there are still at least 20 servers active. Ever since Halo 2, multiplayer has slowly been dying down, I rarely see above 90k players on Halo 4 at any given time.

I would love to see 343 unlock everything for everyone, no matter where their account is based. And how about bringing back the ranged playlist, and possibly a MLG playlist. Because at the moment, the only playlist where there are no abilities is Swat. I remember in Halo 2’s prime where there were more playlists just in ranked, social had even more, than there are in total in Halo 4.

They said they are releasing them for everyone “early, early 2013.”

Like you, I will be stuck at 70. It’s why I’ve stopped playing for the most part.

I’m pretty sure in this upcoming title update it will unlock for the rest of the world.

The question is, When is the next TU?

I’m close to being SR-70, and I really do not want to do nothing after that. Halo 4 is my “go-to” game when I get bored of CoD: Black Ops 2.

They did have an mlg styled playlist, it only had a couple hundred people so they got rid of it. Same with snipers. Quite frankly, with Halo 4 mechanics, they both sucked too.

I think those without access will have to pay for a code to unlock the rest. I can’t us getting it for free. I’ve stopped playing it too!

I’m not sure if you know the story of how specilaisations were “released” but here is the factual order of events and the reason you’re not being denied anything.

  1. Specialisations announced as “extra abilities” one could earn.
  2. Specialisations announced to be full access only for those buying the Limited Edition all around the world. The rest must wait similar to Reach’s General-Rank cap.
  3. Specialisations announced to have full access unlocked by Canadian/US players who play before Nov. Legal issues prevent global release of this offer under such short notice.
  4. Specialisations announced to be released for all early 2013, stay glued to the Weekly Bulletins.

tbh its abit late isnt it. i have hit sr130 and i was lucky to get the codes from my local game store a few weeks ago as i live in the uk and have standard copy. its unfair that you just didnt think about the uk and europe fan base and it seems that excuses r all you can offer and not even give a actual date ya know one thats set in stone on when all will be granted access. to many posts i have read on this subject. way to many with most people saying how angry they are and why am i capped at 70. the playerbase for this game has hit a really big low due to this and many other mess ups due to ms and 343s lack of understanding wot the halo community feels towards this game. its been out for months now and still hasnt been fixed. will the tu unlock all the specs and sort out some of the worst bugs and make h4 abit better to play. i hope so for the sake of the franchise and the community.

Till point 2 everyone gets a equall chance at getting the specs. So far so good. However point 3 is complete wrong. 343i supposedly sold pre-order right to stores in Europa. And that’s where things went bad. In my country no store ever had the pre-order bonus.Yet people in my country had no chance of getting the codes any other way. It’s insane that we need to buy codes from ebay so we can play the “full” game. So point 3 is 343i own -Yoink- up.

I don’t believe that it’s a legal issue.

Many people including me have a hard time in believing the words of 343i after everything they’ve done (mistakes/lies/etc) they created.

Overall I think this situation is a simple thing they could have easily prevented if they did not let a incompetent manager/marketing team decide it.

For example when I bought the cod:WaW LE, activision gave every LE owner bonus access to a certain weapon. However buyers of the standard edition could still obtain that weapon no matter where they live or when they bought the game. And the didn’t have to wait months before they got the weapon. That’s a pre-order bonus done right. What 343 is doing is nothing more than discrimination in my eyes.
