Specializations for Infinity Slayer only?

I’ve heard some people saying that Specializations is exclusive to Infinity Slayer. Can you help clear this up for me, thanks very much.

Anything “new” added to Halo 4 will only be in Infinity Slayer. If you dont like anything that was added there will be a classic playlist.

Only classic playlist doesn’t have specializations.

Specialisations will be across everything except the classic playlist that doesn’t have any modifications or stuff like that.

I’m thankful for this. I plan on playing mainly classic, but if I still had specializations to deal with I would find it hard to resist “keeping up with the Joneses.”

But if I’m not achieving specialization ranks in classic that means I probably won’t have any progress towards specializations for SOps.

Man, Halo has gotten very complex.

I’m not quite sure if you’re prohibited from gaining experience because you’re playing the classic playlist, but it’s gauranteed you won’t be able to use the modifications from your specializations. That’s not classic Halo obviously.
