So, just got done playing a match with some dude and he was saying something about only being able to get the rest of specializations after getting an email from 343 studios that has a code in it. Is he telling the truth? Cause if so I have yet to get any email and that just sounds like a screwed up process for fans who love Halo. I wasn’t able to get the limited edition cause I was poor at the time and they didn’t have anymore limited editions to reserve but I got my copy at midnight launch. Right now I am a SR 65 and I don’t wanna get to the end of Operator and already being done with Wetwork to find out that I can only have those 2 specializations only. If anybody has some hard evidence, please let me know.
Also, I see that almost every week 343 is putting up new playlist. Couple things I would like to see: Team Doubles, Grifball, and I wanna see what this other playlist there is on the waypoint Halo 4 info Extraction.
yes. people who have played the game by november 20th will receive the email by december 1st. and it was stated long before launch that people who didnt buy the LE would only have access to the first two specializations.
That is BS Angel, the community manager from 343. By December 1st, everyone who has played Halo by November 20th will receive a code to unlock the other 6 specializations for themselves.
The way I see it, if you didn’t buy the game before November 20th, 343i is basically saying “f*ck you”. I understand more things like special armor pieces or the Map Pass or little ancillary things being put in the Limited Edition over the Standard one, but access to six more specializations that actually provide variety to the game experience and more levels to progress through?
I’ve never seen an experience based ranking system that only gives select people the opportunity to reach the highest rank (in this case SR130) and deny that opportunity to others (only SR70-- and it took people less than two weeks to reach it). The longevity of the game for people who like leveling up (which is most people, let’s face it) is almost cut in half if they don’t get the LE and don’t play before the 20th. The way the ranking system was handled alienates a lot of people, that’s for sure. Honestly, I even think it’s ridiculous that people who bought the standard edition like myself have to even wait to get these other six specializations… it REALLY makes me want to play their game.
Honestly, when someone like me with a gamertag of M4sterchief that I’ve had for almost 10 years isn’t even having fun with this game anymore after 18 days… something’s not right. I feel like I’m still in denial about how badly multiplayer was handled in comparison to previous games, but I’m slowly beginning to accept it.
I am actually still on the fence about this game. It’s Halo but it’s not Halo to me. I was really hoping for a Halo 3 lookalike as far as multiplayer went. Real rank system, not this exp based CoD crap, Weighed teams, yet again CoD crap JIP style, and its just plain horrible as far as skill wise goes. Even Walshy himself doesn’t like this Halo multiplayer. In the interview he slipped up when he was supposed to give his good graces about the multiplayer. I feel like all I am doing is playing a sub-par game now. 343 studios, please, if you see this, please for the love of all the fans of Halo, fix this game. Don’t sell out and try to be like CoD.
