Specializations Alpha - Not installing?

Hey guys, just got a quick question. Im sure someone can help out! Ill put it in point form for quick reading.

  • I received my code for the specializations.
  • Redeemed code/Downloaded
  • Pop up would come up “Download Completed” or whatever
  • Go into Halo 4, all specializations are still LOCKED.
  • Reset console, re-download specializations pack
  • go into Halo, still have NO specializations.

I have tried clearing the cache in my HDD and re-downloading it again, but it still does nothing. Also, should this specialization save into Settings > Storage > HDD > Halo 4? Cause I check there to see if it IS there, and its not.

I have this problem too. I will load Halo 4 and they will be there for 10 secs and then they disappear. Try going offline. Whenever I go offline, it brings them up and they stay up the entire time.

Im glad im not the only one with this issue.
We shouldnt have to go offline in order for them to work :\ That doesnt make any sense haha. Im sure a moderator could help out.

Its a fair few of people who are having this problem. They will probably have this fixed when the other Specs are released to everyone.

Well thats unfortunate.

It would be nice to at least hear that directly from a Mod though. Might try to bump this if it doesn’t get viewed by one in an hour or so.

My wife is having the same problem. She was able to select one spec after the 2 already given to everyone. She is stuck at SR80. I called XBL support, we took out the HDD, cleared the cache, License transfer, deleted the TU. Nothing changed. The code shows up in her download history, we have tried numerous times to redownload it and it seems like the HDD wont accept the download. I have PM’ed forum team, jessica and even posted in the forum issues thread. No response, as per usual.

Delete halo 4 game add ons and war games map pass if you have it
clear cache
re install

Okay, well I had no luck.

I literally uninstalled every add-on I had, plus “War Games” (which took me another 40 mins to re-download). After installing everything again (including the specialization download), I went into wargames to check my specializations, and still, they’re all LOCKED.

Any other suggestions?

as for NeedsMorphine the files i deleted only were 56kb so they were pretty much instant downloads. thats weird it took so long. are you talking about the actual map pack?

Ill see if i can come up with anything else

They are supposed to be locked until you reach level 50. The fact you can actually see them all means you have them. Its not a bug.

Well I am rank 58 or 59. And yes, I can see ALL of them. However, they are all LOCKED except for Wetwork, because thats the one I chose at rank 50.

I think I just solved my own problem… Are they locked because I already chose Wetwork?.. If thats the case, I apologize for wasting every ones time. Lol
