Does anyone else think it’s unfair that Microsoft released those Specialization for almost every player? I mean, what’s the point of buying a limited edition, if there’s not too much “limited” about it. The extended edition of forward unto dawn was also a scam, it didn’t had any unseen footage. I’m very disappointed about my “limited edition” extra content. I bet they’ll give away the maps as well given enough time.
Who cares? Just play the game.
You got a bunch of other stuff for buying the LE besides the specializations. If you bought it just for the specializations then you are a dummy. Sorry.
A bunch other stuff? like a lot of printed useless material?
The limited edition copy came with a code to get the specializations early, it wasn’t supposed to be that limited edition buyers would be the only ones to get them. That was clear from when it was announced. Your an idiot for paying for the limited edition without actually knowing what it entailed.
> A bunch other stuff? like a lot of printed useless material?
No, I mean like:
> A bunch other stuff? like a lot of printed useless material?
Then why did you pay for “a lot of printed useless material”?
I don’t believe it’s unfair to us, the limited edition buyers, at all. We didn’t pay for the Specializations, we paid for the War Games Map Pass, more-or-less. There’s no way they could FORCE people into buying the limited edition in order to gain access to the remaining Specializations. That would be completely unfair to those who either can’t afford it, or simply don’t want to shell out even more money in order to become a higher level than other people.
If you think all the physical content of the limited edition is just useless garbage, I’m sure there’s plenty of more hardcore Halo fans that would gladly take it all off your hands, myself included.
I agree with you. I haven’t looked at it that way, plus I just find out some people at level 70 couldn’t advance on their Specializations due to them being blocked.

Yeah, I heard the LE wasn’t cheap either. I’m sorry buddy.
By the Gods, as though this topic wasn’t run into the ground and gripped about without end.
No, it wasn’t unfair. I know LE players who got to SR50 and then got to pick any specialization they wanted; as advertised. They had early access. Then, on the other hand, there are SE players who got to SR50, and could only chose two. Then, there are LE players like me who have yet to even hit SR50. Should we whine and mope that no-one with the Standard Edition shouldn’t be able to get the other Specializations until we finish them?
NO.

Do you actually know what was included in the LE? It’s a bunch of useless garbage. I have an entire room in my house dedicatd to Halo swag, probably 10 grand worth of stuff, I’m as hardcore a Halo fan as they come, and I think the physical contents of Halo 4 LE is garbage. I’ve looked at it ONCE, and it went into my Halo 3 helmet never to be touched again. It isn’t interesting. Halsey’s journal in Reach was phenomenal. This crap is a bunch of single sheet crap that isn’t even on quality paper.
That said, I didn’t expect to keep the specs past a month anyway…so I don’t agree with the OP, my comment was just in response to yours
LE buyers had early access, not exclusivity.
I too have the Limited Edition. While I agree it was a tad bit early to give it out, it had to be done.
Just think of it this way. Percentages.
X>Y>Z>A>B>C
X% of people not in the US
Y% of people that didn’t buy the LE
Z% of people that didn’t buy codes on eBay
A% of people that don’t know about the Promotional email
B% of people that don’t check their email
C% of people that don’t even own the game yet
If we’re being sticklers about it, the amount of people getting codes is horrendously small.
This is why you op are an A-hole, I couldn’t get the limited edition due to short supple (I tried to pre-order in August/September) so I got the SE. I have been stuck at 70 for over two weeks and guess what I did not get the email yet. I’m sorry that you don’t feel special or feel ripped off but at least you have not been receiving 0xp for two weeks and waiting on a code that may or may not come.
And to the guy ^ me. $@&@ off, “too early”.
I have Limited, and i am quite pleased.
Why
- The book was sweet i like the thought put into it, and it makes me feel like i am reading it one spartan to another.
- I should reach lvl 100 tonight, where as if i did not get the LE i would be at lvl 70 waiting for my code. as it stands i have 3 more spec to do then i never have to worry about it, unless more are released.
- The box is sweet, i even loved seeing it on the 1st mission when i played thinking HA HA I HAVE THAT.
- The ID tags i still use the limited, and it let me have the ODST icon, until i changed it a bit to the one i use now for crimson.
- I got the next three dlc’s and don’t have to worry about it.
I have a feeling as you will find with the Holiday, that on the 8th and the 25th there are going to be a lot more HALO players. and they will not have such a code to use. So if they do not have the LE, then SOL.
I use to feel like it was a waste, until i was playing and every one sent me messages about my lvl.
Alas, most of them where along the lines of “you stink 97”(BesTcb)it still gave me a warm feeling, i was one of the first there. I climbed the mountain before the lift was made.
