I want to know why some people in particular cannot access this content that comes free on disc. I think its ridiculous why this has been a major disaster for 343 and even more ridiculous the amount of time it has taken to receive immediate attention that hasn’t even begun to resolve this crisis for everybody.
I have took the steps that an administrator known as ’ bs angel’ has advised to take in order for the issue to be resolved and I am still waiting for the code to be emailed to me.
I think the its ludicrous how the excuse ‘it may have been sent to a different email associated with this account’ is being used to buy extra time because not enough attention is being payed. It is absolutely well and dandy when everybody gets notified with emails stating their xbox live is due for renewal or when there are promotional xbox offers available. Correct me if I am wrong but ‘money grabbers’ comes to mind for the majority and many people will argue otherwise but I think its pretty definitive.
Its disgraceful how the majority of american citizen customers are attended to resulting in the issue being resolved for only them and people that paid extra for the limited edition which doesn’t effect the conditions for this particular download at all ( which by the way, I didn’t realize there was this much hassle until I got to sr70).
Furthermore, like many, I have been an avid halo fan since the release of ‘Halo Combat Evolved’ and I have bought every game ever since (including all the downloadable content) and I think its utterly pathetic how it has paid off now.
Finally, I don’t think a tiny little game update for everybody isn’t too much to ask for and will indeed instantly satisfy everybody with this issue. Responsibility should be taken and this should have been resolved pre-launch, its fair to say that you 343 have made a right balls up of this one!

Yes it was a bad idea but hindsight is always 20/20. You act like they’re just sitting back doing nothing about it. C’Mon Man!
Well first off, this isn’t 343i’s fault. They originally planned to wait until a significant amount of people reached SR70 before releasing the next specialization. Then Microsoft thinks it’s a good idea to grant early access to everyone who played before November 20th, and how are they going to do that? Via email. Of course it doesn’t work out as planned, so everyone starts raging against 343i, even though they were the ones that were -Yoinked!- by Microsoft.
Anyways, for me at least, I recently got the code in a personal xbox message from the gamer tag, “LIVE.” I didn’t know if everyone else has, but I’m really excited, because I technically wasn’t supposed to receive the code (I played online before November 20th though). Anyways, Microsoft has recovered from that clusterYoink! to me at least.
I don’t have my code. I checked my email every day between Friday and today waiting. I checked my XBL messages every day since Monday.
Nothing. I also love how conveniently left out of today’s bulletin it is.
Where are the codes 343? Why were they locked in the first place? Who approved this ranking system and why wont you acknowledge its faults publicly?
Also not fair to the people who live in areas that were not “eligible” for it. Because now they have to wait for you to manually roll them out when “milestones” that you’ve said jack all about are met.
Soy de mèxico y ami igual no tengo derecho a las especializaciones solo por no aver jugado antes del 20 a falta de conexion a internet por que me corrieron de mi casa pero compre la consola de H4 apesar de todo y lo comense a jugar desde el 7 de noviembre y ahora le quitan el ojo a lo que realmente dio a la luz halo que fue por su competitivo nivel y ahora YO tambien estoy atrapado en el nivel SR70 es injusto y ahora solo pienso que es inutil seguir jugando HALO 4 en linea y de lo demas pues el juego es facil no tan complicado como REACH ya no tengo por que poner mi juego HALO 4 si no tiene sentido seguir jugando si solo pensaron en como sacar dinero para aserse mas grandes y millonarios pues la verdad soy pobre de todo y aun me esfuerzo por jugar HALO 4 enverdad es un mundo marabilloso y pienso que eso que crearon fue pensando en ustedes y no en los fans de HALO
