Specialization Armor Mods Question

Do Specialization Armor Mods take up the armor ability slot of a loadout? For example: if I go Pioneer, will the fast track mod take up my armor ability slot so that I can’t use a jet pack? I appreciate any help with this question. I’m about to hit level 50, and this will help determine which specialization I choose.
