I’m probably the only one that cares about this but I would love to see a set of armor that you can only get from completing the Vidmaster challenges. Like the Recon set for Halo 3 and the pain we suffered trying to get it, I would love to see those people rewarded again for going through hell to get the achievements. I was thinking a set of legendary armor, maybe even a throwback to Halo 3 and bring back the Hayabusa set just for those vidmaster people, or just a new set that shows it’s for the vidmasters. Would love to hear peoples opinions on this and see if anyone other than me actually thinks about this.
I’m just having a nostalgia trip and thought it would be a nice thing to be remembered. I also remember the Joy that me and my mates had once completing that final challenge and through pure happiness immediately started killing each other. I don’t think a moment in any game has made me as happy as that, how I would love to go back and relive that moment.
Maybe for Halo 6. I would love to see it too, but it’s probably to late for H5.
Yes vidmaster challenges for halo 6.
Yes please gimmie gimmie. I would LOVE to see Vidmasters make a return.
Op? You think you’re the only one who cares about the vid masters? Lol Im here to say your totally wrong
Hayabusa most likely will never come back to halo, as the rights to it are reserved by the game company “Team Ninja”
However I would like them to add old recon armor. The halo 3 design with new graphics. Not a fan of the new look to it.

The existence of the classic armors and helmets (especially the Mark IV) is proof that the old stuff is still relevant.
Vidmaster challenges for halo 6 and or halo 3 anniversary would be awesome.
I hated doing them, I hated my team mates, I hated the challenges but god it was fun.
Would be cool to have in H6
dont count on hayabusa (don’t understand the love this fugly armor gets, yes, I said fugly) coming back unless 343 try to get permission to use it.
Not for Halo 5 cause its like very late for it to return, but for Halo 6 yes
And as for hayabusa for Videmaster Achievements, The Bold are your reasons why Hayabusa Can’t return
- The Hayabusa armor bears a resemblance to the armor worn by feudal-era samurai. The armor is named after Ryu Hayabusa, the protagonist of the Ninja Gaiden series and a combatant in the Dead or Alive series. The helmet is almost an exact copy of the “ninja of the future” costume in Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. Bungie likely created the Hayabusa armor as a tribute to Team Ninja for adding Nicole-458 into Dead or Alive 4. Team Ninja, the developers of the Ninja Gaiden series and Dead or Alive series, are mentioned in the credits for Halo 3.
-
SHINOBI-class Mjolnir is considered the spiritual successor of Project HAYABUSA. (You learn new things everyday)

Bungie scratched team ninjas back durring DOA4, (can’t remember how) so they helped with Halo 3. They we’re good friends, I don’t know about know though.
Has 343 had connections to other companies outside of halo related prjects? Genuinely curious about that.

Possibly, I only know one for sure and that is Killer Instinct when they Added Arbiter to the Game along with a Sanghelios inspired map, but other companies, I’m not entirely sure
Where did the name Vidmaster come from?
Is it meant to be a reference to something?

From Halo Wiki
> - The Vidmaster Challenges concept spawns from Bungie’s Marathon series, where players who wished to prove they were the absolute best had to complete insane challenges such as playing through the game without the use of any health items, using no weapons except fists, or beating it on the highest difficulty setting. Those that succeeded made videos to mark their achievement, thus spawning the term “Vidmaster.”

Thats right, killer instinct, that was cool.
If you’re suggesting that players who completed the Halo 3 and ODST Vidmaster Challenge should be rewarded again with a special armor set in Halo 5, then I disagree with you. Those achievements were too long ago to be worth another rewardz
I would, however, be ok with 343i making a new set of Vidmaster challenges with achievements in Halo 5 and MCC that unlock something special in Halo 5.

Except they legally cannot use Hayabusa, they would be sued. It was part of a swap. Dead or Alive got a spartan model (Nicole-458) and Bungie was able to have the hayabusa and Katana armor. Thats why we have the shinobi armor, or whatever it is called. It’s as close as we are legally going to get to Hayabusa.

Did you read what he wrote? They let them use Nicole 458, a spartan model. It was part of a trade.

I meant like what they actually helped them do in the game machanicly. Believe me, I know about the spartan.
For instence, bungie might of helped them with cinematics or something like that. It isn’t un heard of for devs to work together on thoses things.
