I know this is a beta forum, just want to put out some ideas.
I am also aware that many of you may are previously from the B.net forums. So in the future do you think it would be a good ideas to have special title bars similar to the B.net forums. (Heroic, legendary, mythic, employee, etc…)
This would be a nice way to differentiate between some sort of experience, dedication and active members.
Thoughts?
I think if one should be incorporated, then it should run on an experience or post count system, rather than an activity system.
Nothing is as annoying as coming back to B.net after a month’s hiatus to find that you’ve gone from heroic to “member.”
IMO Ranks are just a waste of time for the website developers and the members beacuse its just a title.

This is waypoint, not bnet. Forum titles may be nice, but I hope they don’t have them like bnet’s.
I don’t really see a problem with them. The only downside is it creates inferiority among members. It’s fun to try to rank up, though.

If you’ve paid attention you will have noticed that certain people will have a CL in their avatar, I’m speculating this means Community Leader, but not quite sure.

Yes, that’s what that means.

Yes. But people like that NEED to stand out. They help everyone out and moderate. I’m unsure if we need users to feel higher than each other
I like it how it is now. It’s much easier to think all peoples’ opinions as equal when you don’t know how long they have been here. Titles or ranks, whatever you want to call them make people to judge opinions by their title, which is a wrong way of judging people.
On the other hand, titles help to identify did someone make a mistake just because they are new or are they just otherwise uninformed, although that could be done just by adding join dates to profiles.
I personally odn’t support them, but it wouldn’t bother me much if they were added.

Having a system based off of post count is just isn’t worth the effort in my opinion. All it does is create a bunch of people who post without adding anything to the conversation trying to boost their post count. I think it’s fine the way it is.

Thats why you base it off how long a person has been a member of the site. We’ll just have to see, they would be a nice addition.
