Special needs for playing Halo 4.

My son loves to play H4, yet only has one hand with which to control a standard/wireless Xbox controller. I got him a Seitek 290pro USB Joystick but it don’t work with xbox. There are others out there but I need to know. What Joy/Flight stick controller will work with Halo 4?

If any of you have a Flight/Joy stick controller which WILL work with Halo 4. (IOW: You pop in H4 and using only your flight/joystick see if you were able to play H4)

If so. Drop me a line, and describe how you were able to Sprint, turn, fire, throw grenades, etc without too much hassle.

I asked Xbox support, and talked with an ambassador online a while ago, but nothing really came of it. (Can’t find the thread entitled “Special Needs” after logging out, and no email with which to link back to it… Weird!)

Anywho. I don’t want one from his suggested links. far too expensive, and with one you had to use your feet/toes. Not to my liking! So any help here would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Maybe this will help?

If he’s a leftie he would be able to move , aim and access 4 buttons at once ( thumbstick presses , left trigger and bumper ). Maybe even modify the controller further and add some extra buttons where they would be easier to access.

Name, email, contact, budget, & anything else + what u want it to look like, but make sure you tell him about the story to. It might cost ya, but I’ve been trying to figure out this one handed controller scheme for quite a long while, its not easy.

To me, both are still a bit too big IMO, but you never know.

Scrap my idea.Cosmics suggestion looks promising.

Not what I am looking for. What I would like is a joystick which will also work with nonjoystick games. I’ll admit, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I am confident I’ll find one somewhere.

I can’t say I know of anything that would work.

But I can say best of luck and I hope you manage to find what you’re looking for.

The guy posted above with the madcatz controller I think would, it’d just need be a simple fix by having the on stick control both movements. But anyhow, email him, its worth a shot, that controller was his first attempt, he’s made xbox 360 laptops before. “What do you do when your dream is bad, dream a better dream”.

Last thing come to mind is this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005761E70/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Its smaller, but not much. it has fans, rumbles. lights up , down side is its wired(no bateries needed)

Ah, that’s the one I’ve been using.

It’s pretty durable.

I got mine from Best Buy for a decent price.

If the console has issues detecting it, simply replug it. Also, make sure the connection near the usb is firm (you can read about this in the included instructions).

I thank you for your suggestions, I really do. But what he wants is something similar to this…

The Saitek ST290 works perfect with Halo CE for the PC. But in the xbox 360 it’s not compatible.

So I was really hoping that someone here had a joystick compatible with the xbox 360 and could verify if said Joystick could also be used with Halo 4.

Would this maybe work?
It seems to make PC input devices work on Xbox.

…and sorry no I have only ever used a standard controller on the Xbox360. No idea if/which joystick would work.

Just might do the trick.

Thanks!
