This is pretty much exactly what I would like to see, especially the zeta Halo statue. I’ve got helmets, Spartans, and all kind of other collectibles, but it would be awesome to finally have a statue of one of the Halo installations

Hoping for that too, but as I’ve said elsewhere: wouldn’t get hopes too high.
The Series X|S supply problems mean that I doubt they’d have kept a load of Halo Special Edition ones sitting on the shelves through Holiday 20 even if they had been planning one for the original release. If they didn’t have one planned for last year, I doubt 15 months would have been enough time to plan a whole one for next year especially given the ongoing supply problems
Same, I’ve gotten the legendary edition for Halo a few times now and wonder what they will offer for Infinite.
I personally never got any of the special editions because I was too young when they came out but I did get the H5 XB1. From what I’ve seen in the past, and from other special editions or merchandise replicas like the AC Valhalla Hidden Blade, it would be really cool to see a replica of the Grappleshot as it is going to be an important part of Infinite.

Although I see your point, I wouldn’t doubt that there were special edition consoles that were made (since there has been for every other FPS Halo title since its inception) and that they were forced to ‘shelve’ them since it was delayed. I don’t see anyone at Microsoft deciding to go ahead and sell the consoles at any point in time nor do i see them taking the stock and removing the outer shell in order to remarket them as standard Series X’s because of the money involved in doing so.

That would be pretty cool…maybe a statue 1:1 size from the elbow down of chief’s arm with the grapple shot on it. A statue of the grapeshot alone really doesn’t scream ‘Halo’ to me but if they included his arm/armor then it would be a little more recognizable. I think I’d still prefer the Zeta Halo statue but wouldn’t be disappointed if it were the latter.
My guess is likely around the time E3 would usually take place so likely somewhere in the Summer.

Oh yeah very much hope I am, but just looking at the business side of it. Hard to do a special edition console on release if you don’t have adequate supply. Whole point of a special edition is scarcity… but even getting a Series X right now is more difficult than getting most special editions
