I really do hope 343i decide to release a legendary edition of the game, as im really wanting another halo statue or ornament. Throw in some exclusive armour, effects etc would be amazing.

As we all know rank 152 in halo 5 is a reward, so surely they will reward mcc and og halo game players too.
I’m 70% complete MCC and just got the 150k Reach firefight achievement so I better get something.

OK so I expect this to be a unpopular opinion but I’m entirely against a conventional collectors edition. Simply due to the fact it has a gamepass launch and I don’t see it as a smart investment to purchase a game that I can play on gamenpass.
That said. The game should launch like a weak after they release some sort of collectors box set.
Perhaps it has a nice statue and another journalesque item and a steel bookcase with an empty slot for a dis and a making of doc.
Honestly the making of bonus stuff is always a thing I adore and watch multiple times.
Obviously they can include a code for some DLC item to show off in game.
On that topic I hope weapon skins can be turned on in campaign with a skull.
This to me sounds like a much smarter product to release than a collectors edition for a game that most fans will have access to without a direct purchase.
My issue with legacy rewards is very much a personal one but I had already done all the hard stuff in CE halo2 and halo3 on older accounts and just couldn’t be bothered thats said even if it was my current account then it wouldn’t matter because its only tied to MCC. I know it is a logistics thing and don’t hold any bad will but another laso of halo2 even with the quality of life changes wasn’t something I was gonna do on mcc haha.

I’ve done all the Laso achievements apart from reach and odst so definitely wanting something for sure!

Thing is with that not everyone has gamepass and it would just be a bonus to include the owned game for people who do have gamepass, but they definitely should do skins in campaign too.

Same here but currently completing all the 360 games again and getting all achievements before server close down later this year. But then again i could play the halo games over and over again and legendary is normally the mode i play on when im in solo so dont find the vidmasters or others to hard other than team mates dying.
It would be a shame not to include legacy tho

I did the Lone Wolf one a couple of weeks ago, definitely a test of patience.

That is true and exactly why I mentioned an empty disc slot in the metal case.
It wouldn’t cost the fans who want a physical edition or don’t have gamepass any more.
Nor would they be missing out on anything it just means those of us who have a gamepass sub aren’t forced to buy the game for the cool collectors stuff.
I own literally every legendary or collectors edition in the franchise, wars titles included but I’m also not irresponsible with my spending.
Justifying a purchase of a game I have is something I personally can’t do. YAKUZA got announced hours after I bought it an I only kept that game to encourage jrpgs on the platform as a whole.
Not trying to be dismissive of those who do buy it and have game pass either its just against my own sensibilities on the subject.
You are a mad man for doing all the challenges again but its the kinda crazy I can respect!
Even if they announced the collectors edition and it has the option of being bundled with the game or not that be great in my opinion but would cause more confusion for consumers than revealing a loot crate style bonus collectors pack alongside the game itself.
I’m normally all for a collectors edition of my favorite franchise games, but with they way scalpers have been able to buy up 100% stock of things, I’d just rather not this time around.

Lone wolf isnt to bad outside of a couple areas, the plasma pistol is your best friend for that.
I’m sure they won’t all be from hard achievements but I hope I get something for beating all the halos on legendary.
I’m already not getting whatever it is for reaching sr152. I’m level 108 and am not even a 1/10th the way there in terms of the xp needed lol

I understand your perspective about it but there are also individuals like myself that don’t really play a lot of games or are content with playing the same games. Im sure they still will do a Limited and maybe a Collectors Edition since it’s been an ongoing trend with the previous halo games, 3, Reach, 4(only had a limited), 5. They might only make a limited edition this time.

Just out of curiosity how do people like you miss out with my proposal? you still have the same content available, simply more choice in how you go about acquiring it.
I don’t expect this to be the case, I just think it is a better option over all by the way.
