Any reason why the console only ships with the standard version of halo 4? and if I were to purchase the special edition console would I still have to pay the $25 or whatever it is to get the war games map pack?
If anyone could shed some light on this or clear some things up for me I would greatly appreciate it. thanks.
No idea, they should of included it. I was a little mad but I bought both anyway.
Console has never come with anything other than the standard edition of the game. It’s just the way it is, unfortunately.
I can’t say for sure why we only get the Standard Edition of the game. But I do believe we have to buy the war games pass separate.
That being said, I can understand having paid 400$ that it would make sense to have the war games map pack included, but I really can’t complain either way. It’s IMO a beautiful console with two stunning controllers, and a game that I have been looking forward to for quite a while.
Sure I think it’d be nice to have the LE stuff with it, but at the same time, what would be so exclusive to them? Besides, we get Fotus armor, which IMO is a pretty neat plus side.
Anyways, that’s just what I know and what I think.
I’m glad the console comes with the standard edition game, that means I’ll get fotus AND the other two helmets from the map pass. Before my 360 broke I was going to buy the standard edition and the stand alone WGMP anyway.
Going to be my first LE game related console. It’s a bit questionable why they didn’t include more bonus content but I’m fine with what it includes.
The only thing that sucks is how we don’t get a free pass to the first map pack of the game. They really fudged up there.

Yes, the map pass isn’t included with the LE console so you do have to purchase it separately. I’m getting both the LE console and game so it doesn’t really bother me.
In fact, I’m getting the LE copy of the game with 13 months of Xbox live for free at bestbuy. Plus there also giving me a 20 dollar certificate to use for anything in the store.

Wait Best Buy is giving out 13 months of Xbox Live?
I really hate how all the special edition consoles only ever include the standard edition of the game.
If it’s about the money, scrap the extra controller and include the Limited Edition!
Just my opinion. They did it with Reach, Gears, MW3, Halo 4, and on the old style Xbox Halo 3, MW2… and you can see they never include the LE.
