I’m curious to see how the remake will handle these, so far the covies seem to have Reach skins, but I’m curious if they are keeping hte “black armor” look for the Spec-Ops elites/grunts in the POA level. I’m also curious how they will handle the grunts with Fuel Rods attached to their shoulders. A new skin perhaps?
And if they do use the Spec-Ops Elite[Reach] skin will they have 2 versions? Since the invisi elites in Halo were a light blue.

In the last level of Halo on the PIllar of Autumn their are black Spec-Op grunts that have Fuel Rod guns strapped to their right shoulder [or holding it w/e] when they die the Fuel Rod gives off green smoke then explodes like a plasma grenade

Yeah, just the other day I found myself battling them. Fiesty little guys. lol.
Knowing the rest of their “remaking” I’d say the Grunts will just be holding a Reach Fuel Rod which will simply explode when dropped.
What I’m hoping is while they are using Reach skins I want my black Grunts and Spec-Ops elites!

It’s not attached to their shoulder, they just hold it with two hands rather than one.
Seeing as the Stealth Elites look like this, I’m guessing the Spec Ops Elites will look like this and that the Grunts will look like this.
Have you seen what the stealth camo elite looks like with the sword! There is no point in that camo! lol i am not bashig 343i it just looks funny

And OP, they said they’ll keep gameplay the same, which means that the exploding feul rods will still be there.
I love the Spec-Ops 'lites for their wicked, wicked plasma hurling abilities. It’s been a while, but all other elites just act as grenade caddies for the Chief. These guys were the real deal.
