With the new Dominion Gametype and forge , We could create pirate ships with cannons (turrets) Some weapons would be shot guns swords maybe hardlight shields ( I am not thinking about the load outs sense there is to much we don’t know about customs) too but the ships would be connect by planks and or man cannons, you would have to capture the captains deck (the players would spawn in the hull of the ship).

I like that idea ! Also there could be a small island in the middle for more even combat and a capture post there like a broken castle kind of deal, Eh Just a idea.
If there was a map with elephants/mammoths(how the heck you fit that thing in a map I don’t know) and the objective stuff was able to move around with it then the classic Halo 3 pirate ship gametype would have became 10 times better.
But stationary ships would be find with me too. I’d love to play a gametype like that.

#1 thing I’m excited for in Halo 4. But Dominion is a great second gametype.

kinda why I said that the objective stuff being able to move with it, the turrets and the vehicle spawn plates, it’ll be the closest thing to being pirates as you can get.
If you could spawn them in Forge, you could also set a player trait zone where the “sea” is to make players who step off their vehicles while in the “sea” move slowly and would have to rely on a buddy picking them up or being lucky enough that the vehicle was close enough to “swim” to.

oh and OT: I think the trait thing would work with or without elephants, especially if you had some islands around you could just set the player trait zone low enough to only effect “sea” level

That’s what I thought too , But maybe some weapon frops would be the incineration cannon , scatter-shot shotgun , real primitive things that ark and are inefficient as long range weapons ,

and as for the original topic I think this is coming along very nicely and I look forward to playing some variation of the ideas presented here when the game releases.

Lets see, there is a captain and a first mate. people operating the canons, a navigator, and a spotter. That’s about all I can think of off the top of my head.
