I know that spawn control is an important part of tactics…
But it is infuriating when you get completely spawn trapped.
I’ve never understood why you don’t spawn with a few seconds of invulnerability. Just enough to get moving and into cover if needed. Give the player a bit of control.
This sounds like a swat issue, to which case it has always been a swat issue.
What would work best for Tactical Slayer specifically?
A period of invulnerability? A period of head shot immunity? Being able to choose or at least delay your respawn? (to throw the opposition off).
Or maybe just before you spawn you see where you are and get the chance to choose a direction - and you spawn at full sprint in that direction.
I’d leave SWAT as it is.
The occasional spawn kill is part of it.
Now spawn trapping would be different.
Gotta side with @pervadiso on this one honestly. The fixes would have to address the issue of why a player is being spawn killed, and it’s usually just because of sight lines and vantages that encompass multiple spawn points.
The simplest solution would be to include more spawns or at least swat specific spawns, at least in my opinion. It’s a form of camping, and the way to disrupt camping is to take away the camper’s advantage of knowing where their target is going to be.
More spawns would be the best. Also don’t spawn a player’s head with a reticle already fixed on it…
Yeah hopefully more spawns that are not in the open, nothing like trying to slide into some cover and getting blown away with the spanker
