Spawning outside bases

When I read the community update that said that changes were made to Warzone spawning, I was intrigued. When I read further and it was said spartans would spawn outside of contested bases, I was horrified. I was sure that this would be a negative change, and it ended up being just that.

You got a single spartan in your garage? You get spawned outside where a sniper and two wasps are watching. You die before you can move, respawn, and you’re loking down a tank’s barrel. Meanwhile, as your team is being spawnkilled, that single spartan caps the garage.

Time and time again. Every single time. This is what happens. I understand what this change was trying to accomplish. However, it just introduced even more problems. Trying to spawn at a contested base is almost certain suicide, because you’ll generally spawn out in the open within the field of view of the enemy team. I’d rather be killed seconds after spawning inside the base rather than killed seconds after spawning outside. At least in the former situation I can try and accomplish something rather than feeding the enemy team free kills.

This change has largely been frustrating, and I hope that it is either reverted soon or tweaked further so that you don’t consistently spawn in the open with no cover and a sniper watching you. The old spawning wasn’t perfect, but at least you had better odds of spawning inside the base.

This doesn’t even work for the fortress on stormbreak, the enemy had 2 mantises and a guy with an answer spawnkilling us because we kept spawning at the back

I’ve noticed that Stormbreak’s fortress tended to spawn you inside more frequently (it seems) than before, whereas prior to this update it loved spawning you outside more often than not…

In most other cases though, once someone gets inside the game just tosses you out into the open
