Yeah it was nuts.
this is a setting in custom games, its possible it was turned off for matchmaking.
there’s actually quite a few settings they have that probably contribute to a lot of… issues we saw.
its actually pretty nice, i haven’t see many videos cover all the settings, but it seems like the majority of the settings could make any balance to recreate any game style someone prefers.
stuff like, sprint on/off, sprint speed, damage resistance and weapon damage to adjust time to kill, clamber on/off, just to name a really really small list.
when we finally get around to having a game browser we’re gonna have game rooms for every halo.
give em like… 3 years, for them to add classic weapons, flush out forge and additional game settings, we’ll have a pretty impressive game.
This only happened to me on the map recharge or whatever the training ground map was. Every other map was fine for me. Did this happen to someone else.
This happened to me once, I forgot what map it was on though. Didn’t happen much to me but when it did I was pretty freaked out.
Was mainly an issue with objective games in my experience. Had multiple occasions in strongholds where you spawned in the place that was under siege and died before being able to react due to all the nades going off. (having no friendly fire makes fighting over strongholds much more careless anyway but that’s for an other discussion)
Ive always been fine that an attacking team has the advantage of defending reinforcements spawning further away when they are present at your flag/territory. Hope these are indeed some setting malfunctions.
One thing that happened a lot was that i joined a match in progress and i would hear how i was being killed before the fade screen even finished loading. Once i “spawned” i could see my stats as 1 death. So, not cool getting killed and not even seeing what is going on. A spawn timer would be good instead of instant spawn + death

This happened to me at least twice.

Actually I remembered well on this map too. Not so much on the others. Good point.
Yes, I had this happen. It usually didn’t happen too much in a single game, but one game in particular I thought I was doing well, then like seven times in a row I was killed right as I spawned. It was a terrible experience.

Last time I checked this was 4 the reason for testing. We find things that we think are not right. We report them. 343 decides if they are legit issues or not. But thank you for your feedback.
