Spawn system and Tryhards

I Have been playing H5 for a while now cause of the Hype of Halo Infinity and I am noticing that the Spawn system is completely broken every game mode I have played I am constantly spawned in the same spot I have not been put in any other spot of the map which upsets me and interferes with my battles that’s why I lose most of my focus on trying to get a kill but never win the battle because of the Spawn point. I have Played Recent Halo games and Halo MCC or Master Chief Collection has a lot better spawn system and also has a huge improvement in looking for players at your in your range of skill level and or Rank you don’t see Halo MCC having you spawn in the same spot it spawns you in different parts of the map away from your last death so that enemy won’t kill you again and also the system flips when the Enemy is in your team spawn if it’s like Team Slayer.

The Second Is tryhards I have been

Tryhards you have been…?

Welcome to Halo 5 hahahaja

Spawn trapping in Halo has always been a thing. I’d say the spawn system in Halo 5 is probably the tightest it’s ever been for deciding where to spawn you. Some previous games do not even consider when someone is looking at a spawn. Halo 5 spawn system will look at enemy proximity, game type specific spawns, enemy field of view, recent deaths in area, grenades in area, etc. I feel like you may be having some bad luck with games or maybe playing people who are more familiar with it. If you’re not familiar with every map and the spawns you may be at a severe disadvantage based off your rank/skill level.

Some maps and spawns are harder or easier to predict based off of size. For example, if you play on Regret on doubles. You can almost always catch the other team spawning on top of one of the bases if you time it correctly and move off spawns fast enough. Other maps where 4 people are playing may be more difficult to predict depending on how everyone is spread. Truth for example. While you can definitely learn the spawns on every map there is a lot that go into influencing them. The movement mechanics in Halo 5 do changes playstyles and some utilize it correctly to collapse on spawns.

And Tryhards? You’re playing a game where population has dropped significantly. I would wager a guess that those who are on this game still play it regularly. They are going to be very familiar and may have played it longer. The ranking system has also changed over the last few months off and on. If your MMR hasn’t caught up to your CSR or vice-versa than you may just need to play more before you play against a population that more closely matches your skill level.

Yeah I get spawn killed way too often. Sometimes I even spawn within a few feet of a guy sprinting straight towards me and get spartan charged off the bat.

You think getting spawn trapped in Halo 5 is bad!? BAH! If you have the chance, go back and play some Halo Reach invasion. Boneyard must’ve created Omaha Beach-esque PTSD in at least a few elite players back the day.

But seriously now, as limitz pointed out, spawn trapping isn’t exactly anything new in Halo (or FPS games in general). The system will try its best to spawn you away from death, but it will not always succeed. As for tryhards, I can only suggest sticking with social playlists if you want to minimize frustrations. You will still get matched up against xXElitSniperXx and his/her full fireteam of wannabe MLGs, but it will happen less often.

Social playlists are where I personally have the most fun and avoid said tryhards. However, those tryhards are the ones that have faithfully played the game the most and kept it going. They are a necessary evil my friend.

Which playlists are these? Because it sounds like Big Team Battle or Warzone to me…

The only truly ridiculous bad spawning I’ve experienced is super fiesta rat race. I have spawned into the sights of snipers and beam rifles on numerous occasions. Literally don’t even take a step. I don’t even get a sense that the person sniping me had any idea I was going to spawn there, just lucky for them.

Only playlists where I had some serious spawn issues were FFA (Molten), the H3 playlist and Warzone. If you’re getting crap spawns, it’s likely the enemy team is controlling the map so you’ll want to counter that.

BTB is notoriously bad with spawns

this sounds like what kept happening to me in Halo 3 on the 360, its why I stopped playing halo 3 matchmaking until MCC came out
