i dont see the point of spawn killing aka map control. whats the point of spawn killing to win or to get kills it just makes that player unskilled
Yep it does says that but some people don’t care (the only thing they care is their K/D ratio) it just means we have to better than them.
First of all, spawn killing is not the same as map control. Spawn killing is a way to control the map, but there is more to map control. Map control is anything that contributes to a team having control of the map, and is a really broad concept.
Secondly, spawn killing certainly doesn’t make the player doing it unskilled. On any competently designed map, consistent spawn killing can hardly be considered unskilled. If the spawn system is at all adequate, being able to guess where an opponent is going to spawn requires knowledge of the inner workings of the spawn system, and understanding of how it applies to the map in question, as well as the current state of the game. You also need to be well aware of the state of the game, and have some level of control over it.
Lucky spawn kills happen sometimes, but consistent spawn killing requires a near complete control over the match. This means that a match where spawn killing happens consistently is very lopsided, with the skill level of the team doing the spawn killing being vastly higher than the skill level of the team getting spawn killed. Such matches shouldn’t happen, and are generally indication that the matchmaking of the game is too generous with allowed skill differences in matches.
But no, there’s nothing unskilled about spawn killing. It’s just an indication of a lopsided match. The morality of it is of course debatable. I’d argue that there’s nothing wrong about doing everything you can to win. In fact, I think the right thing to do for the better team would be to end the match as quickly as possible, which means that in Slayer, spawn killing is always the right choice, whenever possible, and in objective it’s the right choice if it helps with getting the objective. However, what I don’t think is fair is to extend an objective game by refusing to make the final score for the purpose of stat padding.

pro 99 percent of the time really lol
Yeah we just set your controller down because the moment you spawn , your dead? Yes I will admit that takes skill , and control the map , end knowledge of the inner workings of points of spawning. It’s not that I care about kill death ratio’s . It’s only that when something ceases to become fun, because individuals are able to manipulate the system to a degree creating over advantage outside of balance, that I question whether I should continue playing that type of game type , outside of skill and fairness . I’m not gonna make the rent that there’s something wrong with the game , or discuss the moral ambiguities of the other team. I’m I gonna say that when 343 discusses game types for Halo 6 this could possibly be an issue discussed , and my completely change how war zone is conducted if it even brought to Halo 6
